TRUE HOUSE JEJU

제주도의 바람과 계절을 담은 주거단지 트루도무스의 시작은 현관에서부터 명확하게 드러난다. 1층은 필로티 구조로 설계되어 차량 3대를 수용할 수 있는 주차 공간이 마련되었고, 그 위로는 단정하면서도 여유로운 입구가 자리한다.

현관문을 열고 들어서면 길게 뻗은 복도가 로비처럼 펼쳐진다. 단순한 ‘통로’가 아닌, 공간의 첫인상을 결정짓는 장치다. 벽면에는 긴 수납장이 정돈된 선으로 이어지고, 편의성을 고려해 벤치가 함께 배치되어 있다. 빛을 머금은 커튼과 간접조명이 어우러져 복도는 단순히 지나가는 곳이 아닌, 머무를 수 있는 공간으로 변모한다.

또한 1층에는 넉넉한 워크인 수납공간이 구성되어 생활의 편리함을 담았으며, 손님을 위한 게스트룸도 별도로 마련되어 있다. 더불어 세대 전체를 연결하는 엘리베이터가 설치되어, 입주자의 동선은 한층 편리하고 유연해졌다. 트루도무스의 현관과 1층 로비는 실용적 기능과 미니멀한 미학이 공존하는 지점이다. 공간의 시작부터 주거의 품격을 경험하도록 하는 장치, 그것이 이 프로젝트가 지향하는 ‘디자인의 태도’이다.

The beginning of True Domus, a residential complex that embraces the winds and seasons of Jeju, is clearly revealed at its entrance.

The first floor is designed with a piloti structure, accommodating parking for three vehicles, above which a composed yet generous entry unfolds.

Upon opening the main door, a long corridor stretches out like a lobby. It is not merely a passageway, but an architectural device that defines the first impression of the home. Along the wall, an extended storage unit runs in clean lines, accompanied by a built-in bench for convenience. With soft curtains and ambient lighting, the corridor transforms from a simple transitional space into one where one may pause and dwell.

The first floor also contains a spacious walk-in storage area for everyday practicality, along with a guest room designed for visitors. Furthermore, an elevator connects all levels of the residence, ensuring movement throughout the house is both convenient and fluid.

The entrance and lobby of True Domus embody a balance between functional utility and minimalist aesthetics. From the very threshold, the space allows residents to experience the dignity of living — an attitude toward design that this project consistently aspires to.

계단을 오르자마자, 눈앞에 하나의 조각 작품 같은 이탈리아 아라베스카토 대리석 벽이 드러난다. 이 강렬한 첫인상은 공간 전체의 성격을 결정짓는 중심축이 된다. 계단과 엘리베이터를 둘러싼 짧은 복도를 지나면, 남향의 거실이 펼쳐진다. 풍부한 빛을 받아들이는 창은 제주의 계절을 실내로 끌어들이며, 공간을 시간의 흐름과 함께 호흡하게 한다. 대리석 벽 건너편으로는 메인 주방과 다이닝이 이어진다.

2층의 LDK는 하나의 열린 공간이면서도, 대리석 벽을 매개로 적절히 구분된다. 주방과 다이닝, 거실은 각각의 성격을 지니면서 동시에 하나의 흐름을 이루어, 가족과 손님 모두가 자연스럽게 어우러질 수 있는 장을 형성한다. 빛과 재료, 그리고 선형적 구성이 만들어내는 이 통합된 공간은 트루도무스가 추구하는 주거의 핵심을 드러낸다 — 기능을 넘어선 경험, 일상 속에서의 예술적 순간이다.

The moment one ascends the stairs, a striking Italian Arabescato marble wall appears like a sculptural piece, setting the tone for the entire floor.

Beyond the short corridor that surrounds the staircase and elevator, the living room unfolds to the south, embracing abundant natural light. The large windows invite Jeju’s changing seasons indoors, allowing the space to breathe in rhythm with time. Across the marble wall lies the main kitchen and dining area.

The second floor’s LDK is conceived as a unified space, subtly defined by the marble partition. The living room, kitchen, and dining each retain their own character while flowing seamlessly into one another, creating a setting where family and guests can naturally gather and connect.

Through light, material, and linear composition, this integrated space embodies the essence of True Domus — an architecture that transcends pure function to offer moments of artistry within daily life.
